Hi everyone, Just a quick note to let you know I’ll be taking a little time off from the blog while I recover from surgery. Everything went well, and I’m on the mend — I just need a bit of rest to get back to full strength. Thanks so much for your patience and support. I’m hoping to return by Friday, June 27th.

I worked for the Daily Breeze for 33 years as its archivist and librarian. In 2009, I started this South Bay History blog in order to explore interesting historical people, places and events in the South Bay and Harbor Area. I post a new article every week.

Heal up. Your history of the South Bay always has something to teach me. I’ve enjoyed your writing.
I love your posts and I watch them for so long. I hope that you recover from your health issues as soon as possible because you’re just a real credit for all of us.
